I have recently joined EY SaT group as senior consultant recently in Netherlands. I’m tripple masters in MS economics, MBA and MS business analytics. Have 4 YOE in different industries but no M&A experience specifically. Any ideas what company should be offering me? I’ll be working as expert on commercial due diligence, FDD and valuation teams and doing automation alongside. is it wise to demand higher salary or promotion soon after I have proven that I can work and do it better than most?EY

Have you talked to your manager about pursuing a promotion? Sometimes they can help you when that is the path that you want to take.
I have! It’s something we’ve discussed pretty heavily these last 4-5 months, and they’ve provided some great tips. But always open to some outside thinking

Hello. Promotion is about supply and demand, company performance (budget), and management endorsement. It is best to express to desire to be promoted 2 years in advance, with regular check-ins every quarter. It is critical 6 months in advance you have a check-in. 2 months in advance is short notice for the way business operates. But better to express it now than wait until 2 months prior to your next promotion window.
Oh wow, 2 years feels a bit extreme in my agency as most people are promoted every 2-3 years. But I think these are great flags. I’ve been checking in with my manager regularly on a potential promotion and goals to reach that. So will be staying very close with them.
It's all about proving your value and showcasing how you have improved the company's metrics. Go in with data, that's your best bet. Show how you've hit KPIs, improved conversions, etc.
