What's the best way to ask for a pay raise?

When I was headhunted for the job, ESG was a relatively new concept and too few companies hire for related positions. I didn't find any salary range from Glassdoor or anywhere so I had no idea. My fault was I did not ask the HR and just gave my asking salary. When I saw a similar post from my company (I was already hired that time), they were already including the pay range and I realized mine was way below. I'm already 2.8 yrs in the role.

Want to get a sense check. Typical English firm salaries in London are about 70% Cravath (unless you're at one of the US firms that benchmarks to Cravath scale offices). 2PQE is around 165k USD + 30k bonus assuming 1800 billables. So comparing at a firm where you roughly bill 1900-2000 a year, you lose out, but if you bill 2200+, that's comparable?

Thinking aloud here - if you can find that 2000-billing firm, no sense staying in that payscale unless you have a shot at equity?

I have an offer of 19lpa with 5% variable component. What will be my expected monthly in hand salary excluding taxes ?

My supervisor gave me 8hours of AWOL because I couldn't show up one day because I was under anxiety. I have gave him letters from psychiatrist,psychologist that I'm passing through this. How do you deal with counter offers? I have an offer to join a larger tech company in a more senior role, with bonus and RSUs that my current start up can’t match. But my current company want me to stay. They offered an increased base salary which is still below the new offer and I went back and said no, so they might increase. This only came about by me exploring a headhunt approach after being underpaid by my current company for the time I’ve been here . Would you hear them out or just leave?
