Idk about a consensus, but I’ve been a UA flyer for close to a decade now and the value prop is pretty much shot. American miles are better in general now, but I’d expect a devaluation from them soon too. Their TATL/Europe redemptions are also largely terrible because of BAs fuel surcharges.
We’re just nearing the point where miles value is no longer a differentiator. Fly who treats their elites the best (Delta) and/or who has the best routings for you (Probably Delta again, though AA is pretty good from LA too)
Pwc 1 just curious what airports you usually fly into/out of? I’ve had major issues with literally every other airline except delta and find their planes to be way more comfortable and customer service to be better so find it interesting to hear other people having consistent issues.
I think SkyMiles is amazing! Best perks, great redemption value and definitely better than united. I get upgraded on (nearly) every flight!
I get round trips NA<>Europe for 70k and in NA 80% upgrade to first and always Comfort at least (as 360)

I value elite benefits more than the miles themselves so regardless it's still best to focus on one airline unless you fly a lot and can afford to split the earnings and still get status.
But if you want to rank it by the $/miles, SkyMiles is still absolutely the worst. *A has a larger network so more redemption possibilities. I also just hate AA's strategy on its fleet and route planning so personally I would stick with United.

United devalued again?

2M United flyer so to late to switch now
Be good if a lot of people did though program isn’t what it once was and it’s not just miles value it’s to many people with status, to many pre boarding groups, gold should be group 2, silver group 3 and only pre boards Gs and 1K not 5 different groups.
And go back to fixed awards and you actually need to flyb75K miles for platinum 100K miles for 1K etc
