Living in Van. Previously lived in Toronto. Obviously rent prices are high as is cost of living. Generally go out and spend more often living in a city. Boyfriend and I on good salary but not saving much due to the above. HR opinion: Do I have any leverage as a hospital nurse case manager in negotiating earned time? I have 15 years within the organization, left for 10 months to be remote during the pandemic while sorting out childcare as immunocompromised family helped. Anyone with psychologist partners or friends? Trying to help my wife figure out next steps in her career. Currently is a clinical psychologist seeing about 20 ppl/week for 120-130 dollars a person (she currently takes insurance). IMO this limits her overall earning potential. Trying to figure out if she could: drop insurance and charge more, scale out and build her own practice, and/or work more (could maybe see 26-28 ppl/week). Curious if anyone can share thoughts or brain power!
