Working as a contractor for insurance company for the past 4 years ( business systems analyst) , they don't want to hire ppl on a visa. Looking to change jobs , what would be good salary for a new job ( trying not to get lowballed)

When I moved in-house a year ago as a BigLaw mid-level, I took a 45% pay cut, far more than I was comfortable with (although I was fine with a 20-30% cut). I took the job because it was a great role and I was focused on making the jump in house and developing the skills I wanted, which required me moving away from my firm practice area. Northrop offers me 92k w/ 3k sign on which is 30 min from home in MD for an associate systems role. How should one properly calculate total comp? Base + bonus + stock options? Should you only include options that vest that year or include the total $ granted that will vest over 4 years?

What are your thoughts on pay discrepancies based on family structure? Ex. Two people do the same job but one is paid more or given a larger bonus “because they have kids and you live alone” or “because their family is struggling”. Is that an ethical factor if both employees do the same job at the same pace, quality, etc?
