Working as a grill cook at Chipotle is an exceptionally demanding and challenging position. During my training at a 12K ADS store, I was earning minimum wage, same as Line or Mobile Order. The store is unable to hire a dishwasher or additional back-of-house staff. The job is extremely hot and physically demanding. There was a grill person in front doing chicken and steak but that’s it. Chipotle has a very high turnover rate, and wage stagnation is a factor staffed with international students.
