Working with a recruiting agency for exit opps. I got an interview for a manager position that typically requires 7 YOE, when I have 2+ YOE and should probably only be a Sr. associate. They saw my resume. Any thoughts on why they would want to interview me for the manager role?

I’m really interested in Account Planning, which my company doesn’t have. What do I need to know to break into that role? Is it typically a (semi) stable position?

Is anyone else facing the brunt of working in a service based company and trying to move to a startup product company being dragged down by the 90 days notice period.

I have had a couple of interviews with good startup product companies where the main issue is my 90 days of notice period. Most startups simply run away at the mention of 90 days NP.

Even established product companies shy away at this. Has anyone recently switched despite this long a notice period?

I'm involved in a personal case that I'm the lead counsel on. I decided I wanted to handle it because every attroney I talked to I didn't end up trusting to handle it for one reason or another. I'm having issues with it. I'm losing sleep over it, and just feeling very stressed. It's set to go to trial at the end of the month and the closer it gets the harder it gets.

Why do Big 4 firms interview you for a specific position level and then try to make you come in below that level...

That would be a lateral move for me in terms of level which be okay if at least it was a good pay increase but Their quoted pay range for the lower level would make it almost a lateral move financially too..

I’ve been proposed an exit as Product Owner at a real company, not a consulting one. Staff seems nice, good culture, good salary (less than consulting but well), BUT I would have to move countries for that job and start a new life.

I’ve also been proposed a Manager position at a consulting company in my home city, with potential of bigger salary thanks to bonuses. Culture seems good... But I’m sure it’s gonna be a hell lot of work.
