Then a couple of typos in emails, the person micromanaging me told me to send out but I didn’t fix the errors. Failed to meet a deadline but completed 95%. Working with headhunters that specialize in consulting outplacement: how do THEIR incentives work?

Like, I assume that they are paid based on the level of the candidate that they bring in, but how are their incentives ALIGNED? If you as the candidate get a higher comp package, do they get a higher placement fee? Or is it in their best interest to keep your comp within (i.e., below) a certain range?
