When BigLaw attorneys interview students, how soon afterward do they give feedback? What kind of feedback do you give as an interviewer at your firm (e.g. qualitative, quantitative, thumbs up, thumbs down, veto)? Does everyone get in a room or do you just submit the forms to one hiring partner, and/or to a black box? If you don't click with the student, what would make you still give them a thumbs up? Can someone please advice me how to get into Managerial positions or similar positions with little to no coding… as coding takes most of my time and i start to hate it recently. How would you rate the freelance market at the moment? I’ve recently quit fulltime, and beyond a couple of my own (LLC) short client projects - I’ve had zero agency freelance over the summer.

I finally was able to convince my principal that we need a consistent math intervention at the MS level (grades 5-8). (Right now, we are just "doing our own thing," which isn't helping students progress much.) Does anyone have any suggestions? It would be beneficial to have some sort of progress monitoring tool as part of the program, if possible. Our classes run roughly 55 minutes (which is too long for an intervention, in my humble opinion).

What is the best way you have found to give a test virtually?

I’m teaching summer school at a high school, and the co-principals have asked me to focus on only 2 to 3 chapters worth (what they are calling “2-3 standards” in the eight days of summer semesters. However, they are also asking me to give kids the midterm and/or final at the end of each period, which covers 4-5 chapters each semester. My question is this: “Is it legal by California Ed code for the administration to ask me to teach less than each entire semester, yet test each whole semester?”

What do you do when you have a student completely freeze and bomb a test? I had a student in class today answer only 2 questions on a test and missed both of those. She was in tears and couldn't finish the test. What do you do in these situations?

What do you do with a class that exhibits poor behavior with anything other than quick paced, teacher led instruction? I want to dig into inquiry but they misbehave if I don’t catch them back quickly

Good ideas for teaching subtraction across zeros? I teach 3rd grade. Are there videos out there? The students struggle with subtraction all together.

What’s your opinion on math homework? I teach 4th grade and have always given it but I’d like to see what others do and weigh out if it’s really worth it. If I give it, I feel like I should spend class time going over it but on the other hand I stress myself out trying to keep the absent work organized and those that don’t even do the work.

So I’ve taught middle school and now I’m thinking I want to make the switch to high school. Those that have gone from middle to high school, how has that change been for you? Especially those in Alabama, did you have get additional certification? My license says 4-8 math, algebra and geometry

Does anyone use Interactive Student Notebooks (ISN) in their math class. I've used them in the past and doing it again this year. How's it going with students following instructions and assembling their notebook handouts?

Any good outside activities (math related) that I can do? I have Nerf guns and remote control cars I could use.
