Would you reccomend relocating to lcol city if you're working remotely?

I recently moved to LA and struggling. I make 90k which translates to 5k a month. I am paying 1.5k in rent and bills for a room with a shared bathroom. I hate how little I am saving and how uncomfortable I am in the living arrangement. I work completely remotely and my current project runs on east coast time. I am seeing fancy studios and apartment for 1.5k in PHL, near the other office, better walkability, and better hours

For >20 YOE, multiple companies founded, highly technical, patents, academic papers, former F10 Director… even in a T3 city, $240k TC in consulting seems low, right? Not complaining at all just not sure what direction to go for higher comp.

A HR question I really want to understand. ISRS HR quoted a podcast "The not so great resignation" saying 70% regret leaving and many want to go back to old employer. If this really the case the employee likely left due to higher pay at the new company. If they want to boomerang back they will likely come back at even a higher rate than they left the new company for. So getting double raise when they boomeranged. Isn't it unbeneficial, why not just give employee a 7% raise in the first place?

For those of us who don’t think we’ll be shooting for PPMD, what level SM do you think is the ideal jumping off point into a different job? What types of jobs and salary increase would you expect? I’ve never really looked for jobs so not sure what the market looks like for us but don’t think I’ll be here for the long haul

I have a question, I got a contract role through a recruiter. Initially the recruiter offered the hourly pay rate which was the minimum in my range. Now I got an offer from the company. Now without me asking her she increased the hourly wage to the maximum range I asked. Which makes me doubt if the company increased it or she knew the rate all along but gave me the lower rate ?
