"Wow us in 150 characters or less" I filled out the application, attached a resume and cover letter. At the end, of the process there was a box that asked me to WOW them in 150 characters or less. Did your company do something like this? What kind of responses were you looking for? I thought it was a little weird.

No. And I would never waste my time with that drivel.

I entertained this when something like this happened to me, didn’t see why not and also I believe in the statement “risk it for a biscuit”, you take a risk, like all do, and get something in return, it may not seem like much, for example a biscuit, but in dire situations something like that could make you happy or even save you in the grand scheme of things, I really enjoyed filling out a form like that personally as writing is one of my many passions, and I like biscuits

This is such a throwaway question that will likely go unread, but I couldn’t resist trying: I am a catalyst, not a therapist, and a pragmatic idealist who balances the business and its people with a mix of wit, wisdom, and whatchamacallit.

150 characters exactly. 👍🏼

I would probably roll my eyes a little at first 😂 But I think they are trying to see personality and communication style. Still feels unnecessary after a full application though.

I choose humor in text box types of questions. "I have a 100% success rate in keeping my fake houseplants alive, which proves I can maintain long-term assets under pressure and not forget to pretend water them."

So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?

Does PHR certification help in India, as this is globally recognised how much valuable is this currently in indian job market.

Do we got some good offers or its another certificate just to add to CV after so much of investment & time I don't want to get this wasted !!

Has anyone seen great examples of a hybrid work model and could they share their policies? our team would like people in offices to some degree but is also open to remote workers. I love the flexibility but in practice it can get messy without clear parameters.

Does anyone need a hr coordinator, or entry level talent acquisitions coordinator that is 100 remote? Very competitive!I am open minded about salary,I have so much interest in expanding my skills. So someone I know asked HR about a boot policy. When he found out that there wasn’t one, but his boss said there was (who gave the guys $ for boots and the claimed it on his expense reimbursements as something else) the boss got mad at him for askingHR (and in trouble for the expense reimbursements) and then 2 days later laid off my friend. There appears to be no notice of bad performance and this person always was the first person on the job site ready to work. Thoughts?
