Has anyone seen great examples of a hybrid work model and could they share their policies? our team would like people in offices to some degree but is also open to remote workers. I love the flexibility but in practice it can get messy without clear parameters.

We require everyone to have at least one in-office day per week. In December we could pick which day, but starting in January we’re strongly encouraging people to align with their teams and all come in on the same day. All employees are required to be vaccinated, and we’re also providing enough rapid antigen tests so that each employee can test themselves weekly (positive cases must be reported on the honor system, the tests are not proctored).

Should I take this role?
Pros: 50k bump, company is full remote, no time tracking software, unlimited PTO, 10k in quarterly bonuses, vertical move in responsibility and title, will set me up for future roles in different companies with the title I am looking for (so strategic move)

Cons: Its a startup, the solution they offer is adjacent my desired industry, its a very small team so I wouldn’t be necessarily grow my network, tech stipend for new laptop (but they don’t provide a work one)

Me and my partner are not sure whether we want to have kids . Sometimes we want to and the next day we are completely against the idea . The reason we want to have kids is that we want to grow our inner circle , have more people in this world who we can call our family. And we don’t want to have kids is that it will put extra pressure on us , less freedom for next 10-15 years. Wanted to understand why people have kids or don’t have kids . Please share your thoughts :)

We have sales people in Canada and the US, the Canadians make 150K CAD and down here it’s 150K USD, the Canadians argue they should be making 30% more than the US colleagues to be equal bc of the exchange!
