If they are open to negotiating the start date, and depending on how long I’d have to push it out, I might consider that. I would prioritize a dream job, though. Do what you can to make the transition easy if you do pull out of the project, and do what is best for you!
See if they’re open to negotiate, if they want you, they should hopefully wait for you.
I think that depends on a lot of factors, are you willing to potentially burn that bridge for a dream role?
I know a lot of people that leave a job early because it overlaps- this happens all time. They should be happy that you got the work, they can always find someone else
