If zoom ass includes it getting bigger, count me in. No hip issues, yet.
I finally saw an orthopedic surgeon after a terrible chiropractor appointment that was not helpful. Turns out sitting aggressively amplifies a condition called anterior pelvic tilt. Tons of stretches prescribed to supplement my normal workouts and a few modifications for kettlebells to make sure my pelvis stays neutral but the most helpful addition was a standing desk!
Yep! I fully thought I was having back problems and turns out it was 100% hips.

Get into the habit of stretching at the end of the day. I stretch about 20 minutes or so at night and it's really helped with my flexibility. Also a foam roller is great for really getting into your back.

I use a standing desk now. It's amaze.
You may want to try a better chair
Piriformis syndrome is a daily struggle for me... Standing desk relieves the sitting induced pain but still can't sit or lay on that side and fall asleep or relax. 😧
I bought a portable standing desk that has saved my joints. Flexispot. Worth the investment. Holds both laptop and screen safely.

Lunge stretches for the hip flexors
Try squats, russian twists and hip thursts to strengthen your lower back and sides. Its about the only thing that works dor me since I started working from home 4 yrs ago. You can try other exercises as well like lunges and split squats which with workoutyou butt and thighs. The pointvis strengthening muscles and stretching them for more blood flow.
Maybe you need a better chair
Try a balance ball chair. At the start of the full wfh I was in miserable pain but gave the balance ball a try out of desperation and the change was almost immediate
