Ok road warriors, looking for input. I’m platinum on AA, about to hit platinum pro, likely to make exec by end of year. But I’m a bit fed up with some of my recent experiences and considering a switch to Southwest. I’m in Dallas and there’s no big difference btw going to DFW vs DAL for me. But not sure I can get down with the free for all seating. Who do you prefer and why?

pwc has offered me 80k to stay. smaller firm is spinning up a practice in my interest area - offer 90k.

have a feeling the 90k is a bait and switch; I'll be overband (associate l2) so cohort changes don't do much.

the 10k delta may be made up by promotions within my team, and pwc has the bigger firm with more opportunities

Traveling Air India from India to US. Missed middle name on the ticket. Airlines can’t update it, cancelling and rebooking is almost more than twice the cost!. Has anyone travelled without any issues, just with first end last name on the ticket? Looking for a precedence that it’s a non issue.

Just used last of my points in Hyatt and delta airlines saved from my 2 years traveling in consulting.
How do everyone generally plan exotic vacations without points. Stayed at Hyatt in Maui..normally costs 800$ per night. Not sure if I will ever spend my money staying here. Any good way to make such vacations possible. Are affiliated credit cards and off season travel the only way

What exactly has the delta and Air France partnership done for flyers? Can passengers standby on both airlines flights between New York and Paris?

How does Skyteam’s “Priority Airport Standby” work on international flights?
1. If I have a delta itinerary does that mean I can standby for an earlier / later flight on delta only or any sky team flights on the same route?
2. If there’s a direct flight but I booked a stopover flight, can I use the standby benefit to standby for the earlier direct flight?
3. Do I have to be at the airport (as the name suggests) to get on the standby list or can I call someone?

I’ve been racking up a ton of Etihad Guest points (~300k) but have been having a hard time spending them bc the Etihad Reward chart is dynamic 🙄🙄. Any suggestions on how to spend those points? They expire in a year.

How bad is United? I’ve only been flying United before I got the job. My miles there is peanuts (lost a bunch due to 1 yr of inactivity pre-COVID)
Now that I’m gonna travel for biz for the first time, I’m wondering if I should switch to Delta.
However, for my upcoming destination, the Delta fare is 2x as UA and AA and I might get questioned if I choose Delta

Recently had a trip planned with a short layover at JFK. Delta postponed the first leg by 45 minutes which made it impossible to get from Terminal 2 to Terminal 4 in time to catch the second flight. Ended up taking a train from Boston to NYC the night before so I could make the second flight. Do I have a valid argument to claim the extra costs I incurred from Delta?
