I have received offer from Shell and SAP labs is in final stage salary discussion. Shell is offering 6 lacs more than @SAP labs. I have tried to negotiate a lot from SAP but they are not ready. They are putting conditions like give your full commitment to join then only we'll release offer letter. I am currently looking for work life balance with growth. Should I join @SAP considering its a Product based and good WLB and learning? Teck Stack - Java/Micro-services/cloud YOE - 11yrs

Half the pay for *Deloitte* on your resume? Lol
Huge impact? No. Someone reading your resume and thinking “oh, that’s a good sign” potentially...maybe? I mean it’s a great company, but I’d give it about the same credibility boost of any F100 company on your res. No offense to the Deloitters out there, but there are like 300k of you. Big variance in quality across the board.
Do what seems more interesting. I certainly wouldn’t entertain it for half the pay.
Not sure if the role at Deloitte is even remotely interesting. Apparently USDC isn’t what it was made out to be and what was described in the interview process. I just hope I won’t be missing out on a huge opportunity
Thanks everyone. Accepted the industry role and declined the USDC offer
I’d take the industry role. Only MBB has that resume boost out of all the consulting firms. Also the industry role sounds much cooler and pays way better!
Deloitte has me at 64k TC first year. Industry role we are negotiating 110 before bonus but benefits are much better. I really wanted to be at Deloitte but may need to try core in a few years
Op take the industry role - donot drink the Deloitte koolaid + usdc folks don’t even get invited to Deloitte University

It would take you years at Deloitte, even at a rockstar trajectory, to double your pay, and if you were that good, you would be able to do well wherever you choose to go.
Deloitte leads to Harvard. Congratulations in advance
Go to industry. don’t get taken by brand hype.

Take the Industry offer. Having Deloitte on your CV isn't worth leaving 50% $$ on the table.
Take the industry role.
Take the industry role and money
I left Deloitte (consulting not USDC) to work as a product manager for ~60% more pay. You will regret missing out on the PM offer especially in USDC. If I had a choice, I would have just skipped the Deloitte part entirely and started off as a PM.
Dont go to USDC and mainly not to the analyst role. Try for the same analyst in core consulting . Your growth will be more professional and well payed.
If I go to core it’ll be in a few years. I am currently going back for my masters in computer science and would prefer to stick to one role throughout school
