Has anyone else had a mentor (assigned to them by the Company) who seemed to have it out for you? I mean downright sabotage to make you look bad left and right. I didn’t realize it at first. She was fake friendly, but she was discrete too. Some of the executives thought she was amazing, but I had to clean up her work all the time. She wasn’t above me either on the chain of command. Later I found out she had tried for the exec assistant role and they didn’t choose her, they wanted me instead.

I am looking for a referral for a job in Pfizer. I am a Pharmacist with many years of Pharmacy and Business experience. I am also in the process of starting my MBA. Currently awaiting an offer for a new sales role. Salary somewhere between 100-120, OTE 160-200 depending on base. I intend to ask about annual merit increases and what they have been previously, but was wondering if anyone had ever negotiated an annual increase based on inflation in addition to any performance based merit increases. Seems like a smart way to protect myself while times are so volatile and not get stuck with the typical 3% when inflation is 8+. Thoughts?

I’m in my 4th year at a small plaintiffs’ firm. Past two years I’ve received meager raises (5k) and terrible bonuses (3k). My boss prides himself on allowing me to gain experience so I have more courtroom experience than most attorneys with twice the experience. As I’ve applied for other firms, I’ve been denied interviews based on how my boss is perceived in the community. I’ve gathered professional references from opposing attorneys and other attorneys we work with but still can’t land. Help

I’m about to give my notice at a firm I’ve been at for the majority of my legal career. They’ve recently offered me non-equity partnership (which I’ve accepted), w equity partnership on the horizon. However, I’ve been annoyed with their way of running the business and getting between me and my earnings far too long; and I received a lucrative offer to go in-house. I’m not looking forward to their reaction and feel bad about them having to take over my docket when everyone’s very busy. Any tips?
