Wondering what the comp is for SC’s & M’s at Canadian firms? All these American numbers are making me feel very underpaid...

Anyone in an in-house media or creative agency comms role in NYC, that could give me an idea of salary at director level? Above associate level. I’m London based looking to move.

Maybe I’m missing something, but even with a median comp out of HBS (top choice, ~$200k total comp), the payback period seems long and IRR seems low.

Totally understand that each person’s situation is unique, but it seems to make sense for people 1) with lower comp, 2) MBA scholarship or 3) desperate need of career pivot.

LA: after months of layoffs and salary reductions, we are back! Looking to hire a rockstar LA-based Project Manager at our small independent agency. Plan to go to B-school in 3 years (1 year out of UG now). Long term goal is entrepreneurship. Have offers at a MBB firm for a generalist consultant role and at FAANG for a strategy role. FAANG offer is slightly higher (though both are a 50+% bump on my current comp). Both would have me reset to entry level. Which one should I take?

Any Scimitar 🐠 or folks familiar with Scimitar? A colleague at EY just accepted a role there and claims the total comp is 40% more than his total comp at EY and he was at the very top of the senior consultant pay band as an MBA hire. The folks on LinkedIn look like a bunch of former PwCers.

I’m currently discontent with my income.
(3rd year. Salary=80k and no performance incentive. I brought in $1.4mm AFTER partners claimed over half of fees on my big cases.)
I see CJL offers an incentive+ base but I’m curious about that structure.
Any good or bad firm culture to speak of?
Is it impossible to actually earn a respectable incentive bonus?
Am I going to have some partner come cut me out of any cases where I might actually make a solid fee?

We flew back from Ireland today on Delta. Our connecting flight from JFK at 6:10 was cancelled while we were flying over the Atlantic Ocean, and we were rebooked on a 3:40 instead (2.5 hours earlier) but not notified. I received no email, text or app notification of the flight cancellation or the new flight we were placed on, so we missed it. Outside counsel has been prepping company witnesses for a trial in August. It is my subject area so I am supervising outside counsel. I did not, however, choose the counsel. He is doing a really awful job. Co counsel is better, but not great either. Higher ups love the firm… I do not want to micromanage, but I have genuine concerns about outside counsel’s ability to try this case. Trials are rare, and I just don’t think these guys have actually tried many cases. Cont. below…

So, some of my co-workers simply said that they want to go ahead and start something or start looking elsewhere (career change) because they don't know how much it will last at the pace we are going in regards to case intake and pay out. Should I start panicking or simply start looking elsewhere? They even they even told me if I was looking elsewhere or planned on doing so also. I found it weird in a way.
