So Canada is replacing the Iris scanning Nexus/GE machines with facial biometric ones. How exactly is that better / more secure than an iris scan?
Does anyone use the app Iris?
Does anyone have any creative suggestions for providing role clarity within teams. We work diligently to maintain job descriptions and communicate team changes broadly, but our employees are still craving some sort of additional reference point of how positions interact with one another. We have Sharepoint and we’re thinking of putting more job info there next to peoples names and titles. Look forward to suggestions!
Adweek reporting on the impact of COVID-19 on the industry and the massive downturn and layoffs, yet still paywalls its news. Frustrating to say the least as we try to stay informed.

Agency announced 16-weeks of paid paternity and I qualify. Only problem, I head up a very lean discipline at the agency and have a strong feeling that taking advantage could cause resentment....
What training or guidance are you giving managers at your firms about managing hybrid teams? There is a lot out there on remote teams, but a lot of us are going back three days a week which means people at home and people in the room. Any tips to pass on?
I’ll have another drink please. Make it a double. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/28/business/media/coronavirus-pandemic-advertising-industry.html
For anyone who took a reduced salary for a reduced work week in this crisis: Is your agency honoring this arrangement? Do the people above you make sure you take the day? Or are they working you twice as hard but paying you less? Did they reduce your team as well and put you in a position where you had to pick up the slack and not honor their commitment to you?
So we’re all making the zoom/cell phone/ stock anthem spot about how our brands have a big message to stay home now right? Facebook, uber, Oreo, Walmart back to back on Hulu. Who’s next?

Are you or have you been the sole HR person at the company? What are the pros & cons? I haven’t been, but a recruiter reached out with an opportunity to be one. They currently use the parent company’s HR but are buying themselves out to be a stand alone firm. TIA!
Thoughts on Saatchi & Saatchi? Looking for people who have interviewed with them and work/have worked there.
Performance Reviews are coming up and I’m pretty sure mine is going to be average. But working from home while parenting toddlers the last six months while people are sick and dying, I think I’ve been a fucking superhero.
Currently 35, wife and 2 kids. Net worth about 600k. I have a goal to reach 3 mil by 40 but not sure where to start. Currently making 200k ,and my wife the same. my driver is to be financially independent by 40. Thoughts on where to go from here, happy to jump jobs for pay raise, move to a early stage start up etc... but not sure if that would give me the financial independence I am looking for by 40. I don’t mind going all out for the next 5 years. Risk level - medium-high . Thoughts ?

Whats left in consulting if there’s- - no miles - no hotel points - no free food - no client interaction - stuck in front of your laptop in your room for 15 hrs a day What will still keep you motivated?
Are tucks MBB numbers really that good? I saw a student on Reddit say about 35 mbb internships were granted in their year out of about 150 applicants (70-90 interviews per firm). Not sure what to make of this. Additionally, is it true that the battle is to get interviews and once you get one, then it’s just a matter of you performing (I.e., you’re no longer competing against classmates)?
I have AMEX SPG card that I am not using anymore and I also have Mariott card. Any value in keeping both? Both have $95 annual fee...

I'm struggling with deciding if I should pursue an MBA. Can anyone be a sounding board? Quick stats: 4.0 undergrad at eh state school (finance major - think top 75 state school) , 4yoe at a boutique consulting firm. No GMAT. Big problem is that I'm making nearly $300k/year and I worry about a pay cut after bschool
Thoughts on making protein / meal replacement shakes at client site (in a shaker bottle)? Sometimes I'd rather drink that than eat some of this food.
How do I change my mindset to be more positive? Feels like I start my days in a decent mood and within an hour or two of working I’m in the worst mood. Every client email seems to annoy me and when I look at my pic on Teams I visually looks crabby all the time and act it to. 🤦🏻♂️ I’m only 28, far too young to be like this.
