NEW TECHNOLOGY ALERT! I just received a Beta link to try out an upcoming feature in Pipedrive. They added the ability to prospect from their Leads tab digitally. You put in the search criteria, and their search engine will go out and pull in contacts or companies based on your search. From there, you can add the lead to your leads section. The person-based leads I have found thus far have had an email address, phone numbers, and LinkedIn links. Give it a look if you can. It is pretty neat.
Just venting. I’m tech, and many employees (like 85%) think that being a jerk is a badge of honor and their EQ is like at high school level, so talking to them about diversity issues is like banging head against the wall. They insist that any diversity hire is costing a job to another person with PhD. On top of it, another fancy thing to do in tech is to hate HR. So the conversations usually are like “Oh, you’re in HR, I understand now why you have such a stupid opinion”.
My male boss recommended the book “The Confidence Code” which is a self help book for women. It was recommended to all the females that work under him. I feel like that's a little inappropriate?
Currently, we're using JazzHR for our ATS and importing new hires in ADP WorkForce Now, our HRIS and where we run payroll. JazzHR has been great, and ADP has mostly been a pain. We're also using Concur for expenses. Just did a demo with Paycom and was generally really pleased, except the ATS which seems really bare bones compared to JazzHR. Is it worth trading the ease and functionality of our standalone ATS to get an all-in-one solution?
I’m curious if anyone knows of any NY or NYC laws around requirements for an employer to employ a certain percentage of underrepresented minority groups? Would greatly appreciate any guidance here!
Is your company still expecting you to sell like there isn’t a pandemic going on, or is it just mine?
How do you get evaluated in your role in HR? I run the HR department (if you wanna call it that) at a medium sized startup and the people I answer to have never given any kind of metric or measurement of success. What do/should I use to measure myself?
Do seasoned enterprise reps actually think that MEDDIC helps the sales process? This is coming from the perspective that champions are undervalued and the economic buyer in a F500 company does not usually speak with vendors. The market here is developer tooling. Curious to hear thoughts as many sales leaders use MEDDIC as an inspection tool to manage sales reps with little practical value for deals.
Have you ever experienced workplace trauma? If so, how did it impact your personal life and mental health?
What’s a good way to advocate for yourself as an employee? I struggle with how to make the work I’m completing/my efforts sound impactful.
TABS is doing another 30-day sales challenge, and there are 4 spots left. Anyone interested in learning more? Super easy challenge IMO and easy to hit the mark to get the $3K payout.
I have a question for the sales managers out there. What motivated you to pursue a career change from front line sales to managing a team of sales professionals? I ask, because as I look to the future I am wondering if just staying on the front lines will be more lucrative then entering management.
I am looking for best practices in reducing anxiety in the workplace, especially for remote workers. What are you all doing?
I’ve been tasked right off the bat with implementing Facebook Workplace as an engagement/communication tool. I looked it up and seems fairly easy, especially as a facebook user. But as with anything it can be a challenge to get employees to actually use/check it. So-- does anyone have experience with Facebook Workplace? If so, what are some things that have worked/didn't work for you. Do you like it?
Anyone have experience using Oura Ring to track sleep? Looking at Oura vs Fitbit to track those night were I waking up dreaming about pipeline, clients, things i needed to do, etc.
Does MBB hire older folks (like in their 50s) with deep expertise, and no intention of Partner track (maybe they were already partner at another firm), who just want to do cool work for cool clients?
I’m starting at a new company on Monday, but have an MBB interview this week. Should I cancel the interview? Can I essentially “pause” my candidacy to continue the process in a year or so?
I just read Zoom chose Oracle cloud to expand its cloud. I cant fathom why Zoom made this deal because its existing cloud services are AWS and Azure. What do you guys think? Is Oracle cloud reliable?
Haven't seen anyone put "Available for Staffing" in their Skype location. Seeks like it would be helpful for people in your network to know you're free without contacting everyone. Any downside?
Folks at MBB who assist in recruitment, what is the GMAT requirement for incoming MBA interns? I'm attending a T20 with a 700 GMAT and wondering if I can get an interview.
For those of you who have been passed over for a promotion, how do you recover? It’s been really difficult for me.
Is it uncommon to lateral into MBB with ~2 years experience? I think I’m most interested in BCG, if that helps
This is my first year teaching in a classroom with multiple paras. What are some daily duties to have them do? I don’t want to bark orders, but I also want them to feel like they are being useful.
Which risk to take on first ? 1. Starting a business 2. Going back to school for an MBA(matriculating 2021) . Thoughts?
More depressed than usual today. I think it’s the stress of job interviews. Any advice on how to feel a little bit better? I’m so rusty with cases and I feel hopeless.
ACN gets compensation info tomorrow for salary increases. I expect to hear a lot of joy and sorrow on FB. Good luck everyone!
Anyone else see their AAdvantage account miles/dollars/ status drop this morning? Last night it showed me Platinum Pro; this morning it shows me as Gold with only 738 miles traveled.
I have been informed that we will be hosting breakfast and lunch for our students in the classroom. Any ideas for how to keep them occupied when they're done eating?
Need some group think and inputs - Bro and fam (2 kids) currently live in Gurgaon. Annual HHI is ~$250k. Being offered an expat position in NYC. What should be his ask to maintain similar lifestyle?
I confess that I visit HUGE website at least once a week. I inspect their content, and their code. The fact that they use a cat or a gif with some random old cartoon as a thumbnail for a Google or Nike project makes me tremendous jealous.
I’m a freelancer. The agency I’m at is a total mess and the creatives are shitty. Do I stay and make the day rate or peace out? It’s almost not worth the money
