Any tips for HireVue interviews/Delta Airlines?
Hello!
I finished my final round(s) for a TAM position at Google (GCP) last week and was told by my recruiter that my feedback was great and that I made a solid impression on the team and am "firmly in the running". I was supposed to hear back this week (according to the recruiter) but he just told me that it's still in the process and that I'll have to wait for another week or so.
Is this common at Google ? I have heard they are notorious for being really slow with their hiring process.

you shouldnt just be doing it bc you can or the company will continue to take advantage of you, its one flyer now but then youll have a whole new work load. i wouldnt bother asking for extra pay, they obviously don’t really value the work and dont think its worth compensation but id be hesitant of accepting extra projects
the only scenario i see this as being okay is if YOU are trying to transition into a career in design/brand marketing and are looking to get that experience
Great point! I actually enjoy doing projects on design/brand marketing… but I wasn’t planning on transitioning into that career. It’s a small company so there are opportunities to shift. That’s the issue, I like doing it so I don’t mind, but I know it’s not typical admin work.
Dude, I'd rather not. Because if they are willing to pay you for that misplaced project, then they should have hired someone specifically for that role. They assigned you those projects so that hey don't have to pay for another person to do the job. That's their other way of saving costs.
Right!! I’m definitely showing them another set of skills which is gaining attention in other departments. It’s a small company which is why we sometimes will wear different hats. But if there is a need for more, like a whole list of projects, why not pay me as a consultant? I don’t even know if that’s even a thing lol. Contractor and consultant for the same company?
Totally possible! You could also ask to re-negotiate your current contract to include whatever extra projects they’re asking you to do
I like this idea. I appreciate the help!
