How do your hrbp team members divvy work? Which functions are centrally handled?

Am looking at exit opportunities and researching FAANG. Curious to understand why anyone would join Amazon which has the worst benefit of the FAANG? Can anyone share what’s better at Amazon that I am not aware of? Amazon and Facebook on sites lined up in January! So researching now!;)

Would you categorize this industry as diverse? I was just reading an article on USA Today that centered around the lack of diversity in finance, especially in positions of power. I’d have to agree with them based on what I’ve noticed.

I am going to move in the next few month to a location with a higher cost of living due to personal circumstances. I love my current company but I’ve only been here a little over a month, how should I go about requesting if it’s possible to get a salary increase? Might be a stretch but thought it might be worth mentioning.

What is the salary hike you aim for when negotiating compensation with a new company? I’ve talked to a few and ultimately passed because none of them are meeting the 30% increase I’m looking for. Are companies already starting to be stingy again or am I looking in the wrong place?

So I just started a new job in sales (B2B specifically). All my life I’ve been in blue collar jobs, military, then construction work ect. I don’t have much money saved to get myself my own business cards as I’m sure they are important to have, I’ve got all the info that I need to go out and start selling. If they will be scoring leads, it will be organic via conferences, partnerships. Of course, we want to encourage and incentivize this person. Potentially giving then an extra 20-50k bonus potential.
