Hello, recently got invited for first round video recorded interviews with FTI consulting for summer 2023 consulting intern. Anyone have any advice or know how the interview process is like? Would appreciate it, thanks!

I have a partner on my project who is full of feedback and suggestions but has never once said thank you to the team for their hard work or acknowledged our strengths. He comes off as very lecturey but the project is going according to plan and the client is happy. I think a little positive feedback would go a long way. Would it be rude of me as PM to ask the partner to strike a more positive, encouraging tone in meetings?

Need some advice. I was seeing someone, and the relationship ended up being extremely toxic. They were narcissistic & gaslit me into falling more & more in love. We haven’t really spoken since. I just joined the firm & they are now a colleague. I am worried that I will get dragged into this mess again or they will be a nuisance to my work. I’m planning on keeping my distance, but with my luck we’ll be on a project together. Any advice for a narc-ex at work?

Fish fam - quite new to all this and would appreciate your support. if I am based in a high income tax state but work on site in a lower income tax state. Can I claim the paid taxes back from my home state or do I always pay income tax based on where my home office location is?

So, a recruiter gave me feedback that my lack SPHR or SHRM-SCP is causing my resume to be knock out by AI and human recruiters despite my position and work history in Multinationals and being in Technology. They suggested that we put SPHR ( Lapsed). I let it lapse in 2017. What is your opinion? Plus if I were to take another certification - should I take SPHR or SHRM-SCP?

I'm a corporate recruiter with 3 years of experience. Finishing my degree in HRM 5/2022. I'm thinking of getting my SHRM -CP shortly after graduation.

I'm not sure of where to go after that, but I doubt I will stick with recruiting or my current firm.

What is a reasonable pay increase + bonus? This will be my first pay increase. I make 70k and I will be starting my second year at big law (immigration). I had 2 years of prior experience before joining the firm. My manager rated me highest in all areas and mentioned she recommended me for promotion but it may not happen until next cycle since there are limited number of promotions to give. I will get a pay increase regardless so I want to negotiate in case I don’t get a “good” increase.

Toronto banks: remote or not? They sometimes post jobs where it doesn’t say it’s remote, but no branch/ location/address either. Then you get an interview and they tell you it’s remote/hybrid(1-2-3days, take your pick)/on-site. So, if you work at TD, Scotia, RBC, could you let everybody know in the comments what’s the deal for each? Are you remote, on-site, hybrid of some sort?
