Do any managers do more than just manage and lead the team? Currently I manage the team, manage accounting, handle HR, handle marketing such as documents and emails, provide all of the technical support, and sell. My boss still works from home and only looks at the phone report to check the productivity. They refuse to look at my reports or complete activity logs. Because I have 4 hours of no phone activity daily, my boss believes I am not working hard enough. Cont.
It feels weird posting a LinkedIn post in FishBowl, but I found this post from Jamal very insightful. I would have just copied the text, but I want to give him credit.
Having read the Outward Mindset from the Arbinger Institute I wonder if any of you have used it in your business to help with a cultural mind shift? If so, do you have thoughts you can share? Thanks!!

Does anyone have ideas on how to help local businesses during this time from a work perspective? Our engagement committee thought of buying gift cards and somehow incorporating ways to give back but our matching gift program applies to organizations that are only IRS tax exempt. I am trying to find a way that the company can help with giving back to local business. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Does anyone have a recommendation for a list broker? I am trying to find a legitimate vendor and I can’t seem to find one that doesn’t seem to be run out of a seedy back room.
What's your organization's stance on surveys? I've been in the HR department of my organization for a year and a half, we've never sent any type of engagement, satisfaction, NPS, etc. survey to employees. I've just been made aware that our Executive team and our CEO are not a fan of employee surveys so that's why we don't do them. Is this...normal? Or is it dysfunctional as an HR department to not be doing surveys?

I've been in account management/sales hybrid roles for the last 8 years at 2 different companies. I am looking for roles that are strictly sales based where I do not have to do a bunch follow up forever trying to grow the business. I enjoy the sales cycle and don't mind following up for a year if thats what it takes to get my contract back but I am just not into the long term account development. I currently work remote and am open to 50% travel. Any hot leads or advice?
Twenty-five years and my life is still trying to get that great big hill of hope for a destination...
Has anyone found a job recently or even interviewed for one? Feeling discouraged by my search so would love to hear about other people’s success stories.
I feel like I have no good hard skills but am amazing with soft skills. What's one good hard skill I could learn that would help me get a job at Microsoft? I have a background in computer science from a top program in the country, and have been at Acn for about a year doing functional roles. I've heard looking into a PM position would be ideal for me, but I'm not sure how to word my resume to make myself look like a good fit for that role
