Applied to a job at Nuveen. The online application asks if you've ever been fired from a job. It's a required question so I had to answer it. Fact is I was fired from my last job so I answered…
Can anyone recommend a certificate or course that is actually useful for developing professionals and/or reviewing performance? I don’t want/need something that is just a credential, I’m actually looking to get some formal grounding in these two topics so I can overhaul processes at my consulting firm. Thanks for your advice!!!
I graduated with my bachelor's in HRM and I'm wondering if there are any certifications or trainings I could do before I lock down on the SHRM-CP. I recently became HIPAA certified for my company and that got me thinking about what else I could do to add to my resume. Looking for good stepping stone certificates.
I started interviewing with a company back in January but they were taking while to make a decision so I put them out of my mind. Fast forward to last week and I found out that I’m newly pregnant. Now, I was offered the job. I don’t know what to do! I hate my current job and this new company seems like a better fit. Do I tell them before I accept the role? I know it’s very early and anything could happen with this pregnancy but I’m torn. Advice would be so helpful!
Software Sales vs. Medical Sales: would like to hear from people on both sides. • Do you recommend your industry? • Daily Interaction • Work/Life • Income growth potential I have good opportunities in both industries, and would value feedback to help me choose. Aware of compagauge & have checked it out, btw. $120k potential for med sales job, unsure on tech yet.

How long do you typically allow for self assessments and manager assessments for year-end? This year we gave employees a week and managers 3 weeks (holidays not included), but they still said it wasn’t long enough even though most waited until the very last day to complete them.

I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?
Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks
Anyone here a member of Revenue Collective? Is it worth it? What kind of value have you gotten out of it if so? Thanks!
Spam me with your favorite recruiters. Based in Arizona, need a very experienced Automotive Technician with 10+ years. Any suggestions. A firm that guarantees placement
For anyone who’s started at a company fully remote (Covid or otherwise)… when ramping into your new role, what did you do to feel more connected to your team/sales dept? I’m finding that I have questions that I don’t know how or whom to ask, I don’t know who anyone is and my manager can be MIA. This is my first fully remote role and it’s thrown me for a bit of a loop
Anyone know how long it usually takes to hear back from MBB once you submit an app these days? Trying to anticipate how much more prep time I might have and I know they’re obviously all actively hiring.

Do not need FS expertise but obviously it helps. Please reach out to me here or LinkedIn to chat - it's a great opportunity to grow your career in a great environment! Not your typical agency.

Need advice: everyone is quitting in my department and now I have even more work to do to the point where I am working 15 hours a day and having to learn how to do things out of my job description. I want to ask for a raise because this is insane. How can I negotiate a raise?
Does anyone know if compensation in Apple Maps teams is relatively lower than other orgs at Apple since maps doesn’t really fetch apple much $$$ (or at least that’s what I think) ? I know the comp figures can vary a lot but if someone moved to the maps org from other orgs and saw a stark difference?
Currently in a slump from not having gotten promoted. Looking for stories or motivation to lean on to help me making some decisions - did you choose to stay and work your butt off for the next promotion cycle? Did you quit and find something better?
On track for promotion to Senior this year... How do I go about talking salary, when do I begin this discussion, and who do I specifically talk to about that?
Any tips on making a successful transition to manager when coming straight from industry? Any best practices or lessons learned, suggestions for books to read, skills to brush up on?? I’m starting with Accenture next month as a manager after only industry experience. Feeling apprehensive about hitting the ground running as a new manager + new consultant, and want to do as much as possible in the meantime to prepare.
What’s the fdd manager salary in nyc at big4?
Is there a salary difference between different cloud engineering offerings within Deloitte? (Cloud Strategy vs. Cloud Managed Services)
Just got promoted. At the same time, got an industry offer from my target sector, director of the internal strategy team. Both TC and base of the offer is 10% lower than my current numbers, and the gap will become 50k-60k reduction in base alone after my promotion. Am i crazy to still consider this offer?
Moving to the city in September. What’re some best sources to look for roommates + housing ? Also, what’re some recommended places to live for a 24 year old female?
Anyone have insight to how long it’s been taking to hear back from MBB (particularly mck) after applying? Had a referral and I’m applying post MBA but want to get an idea of how much time I’d have to prep if I get an interview.
Are reviews important? If you know you're performing (based on observations of team members), is it even worthwhile to do one or ask for one? Is it also the time to ask about promotion goals & comp?
To all the people that have moved to MBB via MBA or lateral that worked in a previous big 4 or ACN or etc, do you guys feel more fulfilled with the work at MBB? Been working at the D for a year and ..
Is wfh for consulting sustainable? What are you missing the most from not being on client site? I miss the access to client teams on the fly and white boarding sessions.
When I learned the concept of a 6 figure salary job in 2005, it subconsciously became a career goal of mine. This year I should hit the figure, but just checked an inflation calculator for fun, 100k in 2005 is now ~138K in 2021 😅
Ladies, I am so down right now and could use some advice. I was at Deloitte for almost 5 years and started to an analyst, was promoted to consultant and was on track for SC when one bad project and a really awful manager derailed things for me. I went industry and did marketing which I liked a lot, but could not sustain the pace and demands when my team was cut in half due to Covid. I was working the job of two to three people and the workload quadrupled. I worked nonstop. (Cont’d)
