Is experience in Labor and Employment applicable at all in Executive Comp & Benefits? If not, what are some resources that I can read that gives me a primer on that area of law?

One of my executives thinks he is being endearing by calling women "Baby" "Gorgeous" "Sweetie" and he calls men "handsome". I have had multiple complaints against him from female employees and vendors. Does anyone know of any good training courses or advice that can help in this scenario?
To hr professionals in finance..I’m considering getting an online certificate through Cornell in data/analytics. Worth it or do employers think it’s equivalent to Coursera?
When a law firm is looking for a 33/34 act attorney does it need an one working primarily with public companies? Or private companies as well? I’m a corporate and securities attorney, all my clients are private EGC and PE/ VC/ hedge funds, I usually ensure that they are exempted from 33/34 acts
Hello, We are a growing company of 250 employees. We are considering Performance Management solutions. I would love get feedback on anyone's experience with any of the below solutions? Kazoo Engagedly Perform Yard CultureAmp Thanks!!
Hoping to get my PHR in the next year or so. Outside of employer reimbursement, are there other opportunities for this to get funded? I know SHRM Foundation offers scholarships for the CP, but I am looking for PHR specific help. Thank you! :)
How soon is too soon to be preparing for a lateral move? I did my 1L summer internship in a niche area of securities law, loved it, took courses on it. I decided I wanted to explore securities law a little more broadly and not to pigeonhole myself. The firm I’m at is great—doing sec lit—but has zero work in that niche area that I liked. I’m afraid that I am passing on a passion, and I don’t want to get too “old” for a firm to take me on if I have zero experience in a specialty area. Advice? Thx
Any thoughts on family law as a practice area? Got offered 110k plus bonuses with low billable hours requirement. I'm in Los Angeles. Not sure if I should get into it as a practice area though as I hear conflicting things. Any thoughts would help. Thanks
To those who have several years of experience ion TA: Do you think staying in the campus recruiting space limits you? Should one try to get exposure to other HR areas for the long run?
I’m a 2016 grad making $120k in a small to mid-size regional firm. I’m based in Nashville. My firm’s management is trying to survey other small to mid-size regional firms to get a feel for where the comp is now, especially in light of the big law increases that are making headlines, and to see just how far below market we may have fallen. Any additional data points from smaller regional firms (especially if you have a presence in Nashville or across the SE) would be appreciated! TIA
Solo who started pre-pandemic and as a result never transitioned into a traditional office setting. I enjoy work from home and it keeps overhead obviously low. I can afford to move into an office now (and planned to do so last spring before the shutdown). I find myself hesitating to make the leap. I’ve found most clients prefer zoom consultations or house calls. I practice in PI and cannabis. Curious to hear others’ thoughts on the necessity of a brick and mortar post pandemic. Thanks.
For those in b2b sales how are your orders placed most? Online, customer service or sales reps?
Does this get better or do we just hate our lives (and not have lives) until we leave the legal field altogether? Wondering if academia is better…
So other than money (which is obviously very important) what’s the incentive to make partner? Is it crazy that I just want to do my work and go home to my amazing family without the added pressure of running a business and managing others? I’m only a third year (in a new practice area) so maybe the thought of being competent enough to ever be a partner just seems unrealistic. 🤷🏼♀️
If I give notice on a holiday week, would the 4 day work week count as a full week for the 2 weeks notice?
What’s the most petty thing you’ve seen a firm do to an attorney who is lateraling out? Mine just revoked my renewal paperwork and payment for 2021-22 bar dues, even though they’ve already submitted it I’ll still be an employee when they’re due (7/1). Money’s not the issue. They can dock the $400 from my final check for all I care. The administrative hassle is the petty part, and it’s so inconsequential that it genuinely made me chuckle. I don’t even blame them. Kinda respect the hustle tbh.
Any job referral please in top MNC as Test Manager/Project Manager/Business Analyst profile for 11 years of IT experienced?

What is a normal salary range to give a recruiter for an AE position in NYC? 2.5 YOE, mid-size agency, CPG.
Folks Doge-ing the bullet I see. 🐕
20.1% raise. Not sure if I am happy about the new comp or pissed that it took this long to adjust. S1 to S2
what do we think of $ANGI? i think it’s obviously a good play for the stay-at-home economy, but also for the lasting changes covid brings about. if you believe that there will be more remote work, that people will settle down in smaller cities with bigger houses - more time at home and more home. people will want help making it look nice.
Any recs for hotels and activities in Cancun and Tulum? I'm ambassador on Marriott, but cash seems to be way cheaper for hotels in Cancun and Tulum doesn't have Marriott properties.
Question: Resignation Letter I have been with one company my entire career - intern to senior associate; what a journey! Now I’m resigning and am unsure who to address the letter to. Is it my boss or the head of our department? I’ve called my boss personally already (she is currently away for two months).
Why do strategy firms require MBA for associate roles? You really learn that much in business school?
I’m a college senior looking for FT opportunities. Is anyone willing to refer me? I’ve done an internship at a bank, an internship at a boutique consulting firm and 3 internships at Deloitte in consulting. Thanks in advance!
Just saw this new...need to assess how it could affect https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-07-31/u-s-labor-immigration-agencies-team-up-on-h-1b-enforcement
so I’m slowly realizing I don’t like being client facing, but I do love creating stuff / being part of the process. I was thinking of maybe going in-house / working in an internal studio but not sure how to even start or apply. Any tips or thoughts?
Has anyone worked for a startup while also working full time at a consulting firm? The startup role is part time and almost like a consulting gig - cleaning up their mess and getting systems put into place for a 20 people startup with funding. Is this a bad idea?
New parent, wife and I had our first a month ago. Feel like the baby likes my wife a lot more than me lol. I could be holding him the same exact way, but when she takes him, he stops crying or being irritable. Kind of a shitty feeling. Wonder if others have gone through this or am I just doing something wrong. Part of me thinks maybe the baby is more comfortable with mom because of the breast feeding connection? Idk
Can we make a confession thread? Something we’re not proud of but it’s who we are lol Here’s mine: I can be shallow and materialistic. A lot of the times 🙄
