Thoughts on PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP certs? I have approximately 9 years of HR exp and my bachelors and MBA. Been debating on whether or not I need to fulfill my urge to get a certification. Wanted to get some thoughts around whether you have a similar background and opted to or opted to not get their certification? Thanks!

Taking the SHRM CP exam in July - signed up mid May, a lot of info for what seems like a short period of time, any tips for studying?
I need some advice, one of my goals for this past fiscal year was to improve employee engagement, among other things to get a promotion in July, when I asked my boss if we were still on track for this to happen as I have met all of my target goals she said her boss won’t put the promotion through. Right now I’m currently covering two positions, working 45+ hours and underpaid/undervalued. What should I do?
Looking to finally go get my SPHR having the PHR for the past 6 years. Still value and pursuing and obtaining?
I will be starting a new position in Jan as a HRBP for Amazon. Anyone who held the same or similar role can offer tips that would be appreciated! (This will be my first HR position)
I’m looking to move to the Phoenix AZ area and I have 2 years of experience as an HR Coordinator. I have been interviewing for HR generalist positions but I want to know if y’all think it is reasonable to be asking for somewhere in the $55-65k range when asked during interviews. I’m also a SHRM-CP.

Work BURNOUT… LET’S TALK ABOUT IT. So a little back story. I am 38 a full full time single mom. I work about 60 hours per week. I do not get child support. My employer currently expects me to bring in 15 new customers & 100 existing every month… minimum. I have realized with my upcoming paid time off that I am burnt out. I recently have had no motivation to produce because I so desperately need a break. I sell internet and am the 2nd top producing rep in the region. Opinions to get my mojo back.

Why is it so hard to find a remote HR position? I have my SHRM-SCP, my MBA and over 10 years of experience being an HR Manager.
I am trying to land a role as a human resources business partner and I'm wondering which certification would be the best for me going forward. Phr? Shrm? Thoughts? Thanks!
Have anyone done contracting negotiations before? I've interviewed for co A & B and co A extended an offer today. The offer does not meet my current salary. Co B's interview structure is 3 rounds and I've finished my 2nd round today. The recruiter mentioned that since I am a contractor my current salary is incomparable as they will provide benefits, etc. Is this true? I have 2 yrs of contracting HR exp from fortunate 500 co’s & OMW to get my SHRM-CP. Appreciate your advice in advance.
Hey everyone, I have a question. I’m trying to send a thank you note to a VP I interviewed with but I don’t have her email. Everything was done through the coordinator. I asked the coordinator for her email but I haven’t heard back. Should I just email the person based on how the coordinator’s email looks (first name and last) or let it be? It’s already been 24 hours and I want to do it soon. Thank you much.
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
For those folks doing sales at edtech co’s, what have you found to be the typical comp structure? I have over 15 years in the Ed space, but currently evaluating several opportunities in the entrepreneurial space. Thanks!!

True story. I once explained accounting methods to a friend by telling him the difference between cash and accrual methods. After explaining that, under the accrual method, you pay tax on earnings, even if you haven’t received the cash, he responded, “Wow, that is a cruel method.” 😂
I have been promised a promotion three times now, but when the time comes, I'm told I'm not there yet. Why promise something if you clearly don't want to execute it?
Who has higher hierarchy a physician or a nurse practitioner director? It is possible that the nurse practitioner director be the boss of a physician? Or at least act like one? I’m not referring to more complex office visits but to the point where the physician is pretty much doing all the job! Especially when the company is short staffed
