Anyone interested in podcasts about advertising? I’m thinking about starting one as a challenge to myself and a way to help (myself and) others learn. The premise that a couple of creative guests and I would sit down and try to crack a brief in an hour (or at least an edited hour). Any initial reactions to the concept? Sound like something you’ve heard of already? Good? Boring? Tell me all of your opinions.

I was just offered to get a promoted offer (from AS to VP,AD) at a different company, but I have been wanting to transition off to non-advertising gigs especially pharma. Does it make sense to sign the new offer first and keep searching, or get out when I can out of advertising? I took the interview a while ago thinking I still wanted to be in advertising but had gradual shift in heart..

Are tucks MBB numbers really that good? I saw a student on Reddit say about 35 mbb internships were granted in their year out of about 150 applicants (70-90 interviews per firm). Not sure what to make of this. Additionally, is it true that the battle is to get interviews and once you get one, then it’s just a matter of you performing (I.e., you’re no longer competing against classmates)?

Are there any CA family law firms looking to contract out work (legal research, drafting briefs, disclosures, forms, discovery, etc.)? I have over 6 years of experience and am well-versed in family code and case law. (My attorney is on family leave so we don't have the workload I'm used to right now, and my husband might be switching jobs with a pay cut, so it wouldn't hurt to earn some extra money.)

Question for HC 🐠 of color. If you were offered a role at a company where there was little to no diversity within the group you were interviewing for (not even at the level you were interviewing for, or at senior leadership level) would this be a red flag for you in terms of culture, & potential opportunities? I want to keep an open mind but this company has been around for 20 years. The people I interviewed with were great but im concerned that there’s a larger problem at play. Thoughts?

Navigant career path? And Managing Consultant salary for DC?

Just joined a small consulting firm, like the work and the people so far. They hired me at a lower level and salary for lack of BD experience, with the expectation that I perform and earn a promotion in 3-6 months. I have another better offer with a larger product based company that’s setting up its consulting business as one of the early hires. Is there a nice way I can leverage offer 2 with company 1? I’ll feel terrible about leaving tbh. This would also be my 1st job in the country.

On my 3rd job in 2 years (consultant for a year, then left for a new company that was impacted by COVID). My new role is not very interesting and can be very pigeon holed at times.
