I have heard that Goldman Sachs is rescinding offers of temporary contract workers. I have an offer letter from Goldman Sachs Bangalore for a full time permanent role and am already on notice period. There is still 2 months for the joining date. Is there a hiring freeze coming? If yes, will they rescind offers that have already been made? Goldman Sachs

If you're going to move, do it early as an associate of senior. Once you make manager then networks are important. Your network as an associate is most likely you knowing several partners, but you're just another cog to them. Take the money and run. These firms don't look out for you (you got shafted on raise and VC) so you need to look out for yourself. They take our youth, give us stress, don't pay us what we are worth, think we are happy with 1% raises when they increase bill rates 4%, don't support us. Fuck em.
Deloitte can be great! Come join us! 🤗
To some extent you HAVE to be all about the money. No one else will be looking out for you in that space.
@K8 Same here! Partner told me, "I mean, the range for P&C associate is between 55K and 95K, so you're right at average!" And my response was "I didn't become a consultant to be average." 🎤 ⬇️
What service line are you currently in?
Leave.... RUNNNN!!
Head to Deloitte , if you are getting next band and raise. I am assuming everything else is same
Well they did sayon the call if it's your first year don't expect shit .
I would take it and I would say I started looking when I was informed of my comp adjustment
No, it isn't really that bad, and long as you stay professional why do you care what it looks like to your old employer? I'll be honest too if I ever got a 1% raise I would assume my employer wanted me to leave.
Hey man, let me refer you! Phishbowl9@gmail.com
Def start over
How'd you find the offer OP?
Yeah man, id def bounce. Also, we all charge at the next level up, it's to anticipate promotions and not losing the contract bc u got to expensive.
What a no brainer
@K3 @K4 P&C to OT&T
How long were u there? Did u come in at the middle of the review period?
Yep ey2...and for all the things calculated on base pay, 401k contributions and matches, earnings in those missed contributions and matches , bonuses.... it adds up (or rather DOESN'T add up)
Is it bad to move consulting firms every 1.2-1.5 years?
What service line within advisory... lol obvious you are advisory OP 😜
Apologies OP, just found the response
