What are some red flags you've noticed in the hiring process? I've finally landed an interview after weeks of applying. I think it went well on my end, but something about the managers I spoke with just feels...off.

He stayed optimistic and passionate about the job, and asked me again for advice about reapplying this year. I don't know what to advice him. Made the pivot from Big 4 to Bain and frankly underwhelmed. Seems like Bains Ops capabilities / general knowledge resources / white papers are lagging the industry quite a bit. Miles behind BCG / McKinsey as well. Literally only good for PE and nothing else.

Is DC a competitive office to get into for McKinsey?
