Hi fishes,
Why TCS is so rude and self proclaimed kinda. I declined TCS offer last year as they were giving very less CTC. Now I got interviewed again with TCS and cleared all the rounds but they are not reactivating my ibegin portal for document upload since I rejected them last year...in this way u think they will never ever reactivate my profile.

You didn’t get one this cycle?
If you didn’t get designated EM this cycle I would bounce

If you are confident you’ll get designated on the spring, stay till then, you exit ops will be much better
Otherwise you are about to reach the threshold. Don’t think I’ve ever met a 3 year associate
Are you interested in chief of staff role? It can be a very limiting opportunity if your role isn’t a true deputy.

This is definitely something to think about. I have experience with us.
As a chief of staff, you’ll touch a bunch of different functional areas but without ever becoming an expert in those areas.
It’s the breath vs depth argument. It’s a fun job though.
With 10 YOE, are you at EM level about to hit AP? I’d wait to hit AP.
I’m currently an Associate and I am excited about the role. My YOE is outside of consulting (mix of public and private sector).
Unclear what I’m worth two years into Mckinsey and what I can ask for with a CoS role
Hard to say what breakdown would be without more details around the role and company, but $250k-300k in TC would be reasonable.
what type of work do you do at McK?
I have heard McK EM exits are much more better than associate exits.
Might as well stay another year or two and have an EM exit.
McK folks ofcourse would be the best ones to confirm
If you are an associate, I would go for chief of staff. After 1-1.5 years you will know most of the leadership very well and you will be up to date with the most important initiatives company-wide. This can position you really well for taking further leadership roles in the company.
Which level are you offered?
