2025 raises and bonuses - just curious as to what is currently happening. Had the 2024 performance review - no bonus ( did not make billable hours) but got a raise which came out to 1.31 an hour.

Ugh, I feel you. My 2025 review just happened too, no bonus either, but I did get a small raise. Not quite what I was hoping for, especially with inflation still doing its thing. It’s a weird time all around. Curious to hear what others are seeing too.

I've been without a performance review at my current firm since I started, and my 2 year anniversary is next week. And while I got year-end bonuses at the end of 2023 and 2024, I'm being told that those likely will not be paid out in 2025. I've requested compensation reviews and am met with various excuses of "they can't right now due to cash flow" or that they're coming up with a new pay chart that will show us what our increases will be when we hit our various milestones. Of course none of that has been issued and that claim was 6+ months ago. It's frustrating.

I'm not really sure what to expect for this year other than I hope most everyone else isn't dealing with the same crap I am.

Hello All,

I have recently joined
FIS Global around end of April. My mother recently met with an accident and she needs to be operated.
I haven't been able to update the anything regarding the insurance part yet on FIS portal.

Will my mother's treatment be covered under the insurance? If yes, what's the procedure for the same? What are the documents that I need to submit in order to claim the amount?

Can anyone please guide?

Pregnant wife is having small portion meals lately, so i asked why she is eating less than usual. She read somewhere that eating too much can lead to oversized baby, making the delivery more painful, so it looks like she may be controlling the portion because of this. Is not eating enough a cause for concern?

Currently a paralegal at a small start up financial services company been there for just a little over a year. I wear “multiple hats” but more recently I’ve done a lot of PM work and some BA work. My position title is changing soon but I’m wondering how helpful that would be for wanting to go into PM work at a tech company. Anyone have any career pivot advice? (Also I’m only 1.5yrs old in my career so I’m definitely still new, and I have previous experience as a project assistant).

Hi all, anyone familiar with Skadden in DC? Looking for any insight!

I did it! I got an in-house Paralegal position after years of working and being burned out at different law firms. I was going to leave the legal field all together because I was so burned out and depressed, but I decided to give the field one more chance if I was able to go in-house. Prayerfully, this transition will be a good one.

Paralegals: My firm is looking for a paralegal, and I see the job posting advertising the salary as $65-$75k, with benefits. Is this a good salary for a paralegal (Greater LA area)? I’m not the decision maker, but it’s been a few weeks with very few applicants. I’m curious if there’s something hurting the firm in its search.

I’ve been a paralegal for about 30 years in private law firmS. As I get older, I feel like it’s time for a semi-career change. Either an office manager position or perhaps a corporate position where I can travel a little since my kids are grown and I’m an empty-nester. Has anyone made this type of transition? Advise welcome. I started working for a new law firm, much larger than the firm I was working for previously. The main attorney that I work under had noticed some mistakes I was making (I am a NY paralegal who took this position with the understanding that they’d be teaching me NJ and NYC real estate). Anyways, the attorney decided to tell the HR manager about the mistakes I had been making. Rather than HR discussing with me, the manager told my dramatic coworker to tell me..how should I handle this? Very hurt!
