26 year old son, sleeping until 3pm. Considering a sleep consultant.
Any insight here ? Please.
Consultant here, I recommend spinning it off into a offside location, that should do the trick. Further I would communicate that the cost increase for the new location will be financed by the parent company for 1 year, 6 Month for laundry help, if so inclined and 3 month for any other help to get the new company off to a good start.
As insane as it sounds, put him to bed earlier. Someone once told us sleep begets sleep, and this has been a truism for us.
Otherwise, can’t recommend a sleep consultant enough. It’s not that they work magic, it’s simply that you don’t have to be responsible for the tactics, always second guessing, or fight with your SO, and whatever technique they recommend is so proven, it’ll work, they’ll make sure by keeping you disciplined.
When’s he going to bed? Is he waking up early because he is overtired? Generally if they go to bed earlier they’ll also wake up later, and if they go to bed too late they’ll wake up early
Any change in how much fluids he’s been drinking in the evenings? Or if your thermostat is kicking in differently because of changes in outside temperature? Both have been factors for our fourteen month-old. It’s been bone chilling cold the last couple of days so our heat keeps cranking up around 5-ish — and that seems to wake him up — more so if he has a full diaper.
This is normal. As they get older they might not need exactly as much sleep. I would say this is your new reality. Pushing back bed time might work but no guarantees.
The heat thing is a great call. I’ll certainly try turning it down at that time so it doesn’t wake him up.
We did push his bed time back a little to 7 (previously 6:30) and we might try bringing it forward again. Just so early for bed time but if it means better sleep well do it!
our son is about the same age. He goes to bed around 7:45pm and wakes us between 715-7:30am like clockwork. Also if he is taking too long of a nap during the day maybe it’s causing him to require less sleep at night.
My 14 mth old sleeps from 10pm to 9am. It’s great. Sorry to flex haha.
Sorry to flex but I’m gonna do it anyways. Don’t Jinx yourself. Things change quickly.
Also look at the naps maybe to late or to early
