I recently interviewed with MITRE for a systems engineering role to make the move from Leidos where I feel underpaid for the work I do and for my experience ($85K). I have 4 YOE, a STEM degree, and soon will have a Masters Degree. I’m looking to make around $120K in the new role at Mitre. Does anyone have any insight into comp there? This would be in the DC metro area. Does $120K seem reasonable or am I dreaming?

Got an interview request from Amazon for Sr. Digital Marketing Manager. I have been interviewed by and worked for multiple big names like Mcafee, Meta, Microsoft but never by Amazon. I’m wondering how’s their hiring process, what kind of questions and tasks are waiting for me, how many steps are there etc.
Thank you in advance, everyone!

16k aed is below average salary
See Dubai is not Europe or Canada that we say go for the experience
Dubai one goes only to save crores in few years and return and make a house
Otherwise it's literally same as any Indian metro city in terms of living
80-90k for Canada
Hello Guys
I have offer of 21 LPA Kyndryl INDIA and 7K SGD from ITCAN Singapore, Clint is NCS .
Which one I need to take.
Singapore EMPLOYMENT PASS will raise for two years , after that will it extends?
Yes, if a sponsor company is willing to.
Don't take it.
I don't know why Indians have this stupid habit of converting foriegn curreny into INR and then compare it with Indian Salary.
It's 190000 AED, which is roughly 16K AED per month.
Please find the snapshot below for reference as to how much you'll need to earn in AED to match your Indian Salary of 24LPA.
The cost of living in Dubai is very high. The rent is astronomical.
That escalated quickly
Equivalent to approx 16000 AED per month. Your monthly rent itself would be 6-10k depending on location and size of apartment
I have personal experience of Gulf. 16k AED is very good salary. You can get a studio for yourself 2upto or even as it depends on locality. Food cost can go upto 400 AED if you cook yourself. You can travel via Metro which is very cheap. If all the above expenses goes in the mentioned figure then you can easily save 12500-13000 AED which equals to 250000-260000. If you work and save money for 3-4years you can excellent money. Think in long term
I have been to Gulf and with very low salary I saved enough.
Also, stop referring to online salary converters. If you want any advice you can directly to the person who has personal experience.
Go to Dubai.. it not always about money… live a different life..
Don't ever convert in Indian currency, you will never get a clear idea about the expenses. Your Dubai salary is very less. It will be difficult for you to survive and to have a descent life. Whereas 24 LPA in India is a good salary.
A little more context, the job in India is at a US based Top 10 Hedge Fund, whereas the Dubai one is from an investment company of a Saudi based oil family (much smaller brand name)
US based would be much more beneficial than Saudi based.
YOE and Tech stack?
4 and I’m a finance & strategy guy
If the company and job are similar.
Dubai expenses: you can get a 1 bhk for 5k AED a month( in Dubai Marina fairly posh area compared to India metros), food + cook 1200 AED a month, entertainment 1000 AED a month. You will save roughly 1.7 lacs INR a month.
In India: your take home will be around 1.5 lacs. Rent around 30k, cook + food 8k, entertainment 10k a month. Savings around 1 lac a month.
Plus in Dubai you can travel around a lot more a weekend trip to Europe is a lot more feasible from Dubai.
Also given you are young moving outside your comfort zone( comfort City) would be really great.
If the company and job profile are different then the decision would be different.
If you are in software engineering (product based) you can switch easily in Dubai to get 35-50k AED a month once you are in Dubai.
Dubai!
Why so?
Dubai
International exposure.
You can 24 LPA at any time, try to get international exposure.
India is better in term of job quality if it was montreal switzerland my opinion would have been different
How did you apply for a job in Dubai?
Looks like he doesn't want to share consultancy name 😂
Find out the cost of living and standard of living in Dubai. How much a 3 BHK rent would cost you in Dubai? How much money would you be left with for savings after paying your rent? Even if you get increment in Dubai and then decide to leave for India after few years, it is likely that Indian companies won't match the same remuneration as Dubai. Sometimes Indian companies don't consider the experience of Dubai and it get difficult to look for a job in India. If you get increment in India and decide to move to another company after few years then the company will agree to pay you a higher salary.
Chief
I'd say not to go to Dubai unless you want an opportunity to go and explore there. There will be a lot of expenses so we can't really compare CTC. I wish you the very best in whatever you decide.
Goodluck and godspeed!
India is best. Pata nhi kab kaha koi attack kar de. India me raho aur IPL ke maze lo..
Habibiii come to Dubaiii 😹 Disclaimer: Just wanted to use this line. Please don't use it as advice ☺️
go for Dubai gor3years
Will give another example
I went Dubai in 2014
I heard that the lowest salary offered to IT employees was 12k below that was even not allowed by government
Also 18k was supposed to be average salary, that time most people used to earn 15lpa in India that was good salary. They got 18k in Dubai
So you can check savings there, and if you're really mad about onsite then only you can go. Otherwise it's not really a great offer
Dubai hands down.. it will open more Dubai opportunities and your salary won't stay the same.
