Would get approved, is fine and within range.
I pay $2500 on the 32nd floor, same description. It gets old fast tbh, but you should definitely experience it
The lifestyle and everything that comes with it is great, but I get tired of looking at the same thing. Just like a new car, it gets old. Being so high up is a pain in the ass to leave as well when going down the elevator.
But it’s a catch 22, you need to experience it to get tired of it first. I was in the same boat as OP, wanted to splurge bc ive been frugal but I realized I’d rather spend the $2500 in the market and get a house instead
Is Dallas LCOL? I always thought Dallas is MCOL
Chief
Dallas is def not LCOL.
YOLO, FOMO
Do it!!!! You’re clearly responsible with your finances and can afford it - do this now and you can always choose to buy in a year from now (or whenever you’re done with you’re fancy new place) 🙂

Thanks!
You’ve done well so far. Why not play the long game with it?

Okay dad 😕
Too much in rent.
If near DART, meh for food and entertainment. If on the other side of allude Warren near victory park, uptown, or the deep ellum area - could be fun for 12 months. Enjoy the view!

Yup it's in uptown!!
Don’t spend the money unless you are really going to be there to enjoy the space.

Thanks we are WFH now and will be hybrid WFH Friday&Monday moving forward after so that makes me feel good
Live it up, you only live once, but one suggestion I will make is possibly looking into anthem city line apartments, a friend of mine used to rent there before he moved to the DMV, which is where I am from. I thought it was a great apartment cheaper than 2100 a month, look in to it, they have the ceiling to floor windows that you were referring to as well. But all in all do what makes you happy.
I make a little more (150k) and spend this much on rent in Austin TX. It was totally worth it upgrading from my 1K/ month apartment.
Nope I’m just high up
1) if you have good credit yes
2) its an apartment, just a 1 year commitment. But if you're gonna do it, do it right and live it up while you're at that phase of life
Bruh I make 82.5 and pay 2050 for a small 1 bedroom in a HCOL. You’ll be fine.
Damn are you me? I’m 27, make 150k, and pay $1600 in oak lawn currently. Would like to buy a $450k townhouse…
