38F - being doing my makeup for years and have tried a bunch of mascara. Do you wear glasses? or are you touching your eyes alot?
Sometimes this makes your mascara flake off. ALso make sure its not an old mascara tube - they should be replaced every 3-4 months (bacteria grown, drying out of formula)
However, it is likely the mascara you are using. I would go to Sephora or Ulta (or Shoppers Drug mart if your in Canada) and ask the beauty advisor for a tubing mascara or a good waterproof mascara that is easy to remove (you may need to buy an oil based makeup remover if you buy waterproof mascara)
The mascara you’re using isn’t water proof and even if it was it can still smear if you spend a lot of time on a computer.
I’ve been using Tarte tubing mascara for a little over a year now and am very happy with it. Used to use blinc but I think they changed their formula and I don’t care for it anymore. There are other brands but I haven’t tried them.
Ponds cream you put a swab on a whip and the mascara comes right off when you roll it on your eyes.
Try a lid primer, such as MAC or Urban Decay. Then use a light dusting of powder under your eyes (over concealer if you wear it). I like Bobbi Brown’s pale yellow powder. Laura Mercier also has a eye brightening powder.
Keep your mascara fresh. I change tubes about every 3 months. I do not wear mascara daily when I am WFH, so a tube lasts longer for me. My favorites are Bobbi Brown’s Smokey Eye and Bobbi Brown’s No Smudge. BB has a 25% off sale going on now.
I gave up on mascara because I spent a small fortune looking for one that didn’t leave any residue. Gave up and got lash extensions done. It’s been 4 years and never turning back. Simple, hybrid and only slightly longer than my natural lash. Few people recognize them as extensions
