Sleep on side with pillow between legs. And maybe a pillow to hold onto for you back. Do some spine strengthening like Superman pose etc.
My chiropractor tells me you should never sleep on your stomach. It's been a struggle for me to change my sleeping style, but has helped with back issues when I do.
I even had a hard time not sleeping on my stomach while I was pregnant! I’ve tried side sleeping but can’t fall asleep.
Usually sleeping on the stomach is not the best. You must relieve the pressure on the hips and lower back. So side sleepers can place a pillow between the knees, back sleepers can place it under the knees. I'm sure there is a similar thing that you can do while sleeping on the stomach. Also you said you have a great mattress, make sure it's more firm than soft because stomach sleepers need more support. Hope you get better sleep!
Highly recommend an adjustable bed. Has improved by back issues and don’t really sleep on my stomach anymore.
I was a stomach sleeper and then switched my pillow to a Groove Pillow. Changed my sleep!
