Hi energy fish, I’m currently in the process of breaking into the energy industry. My education is in energy engineering but I got sidetracked. Now, what is better as a pivot point for later exits and continued career path in energy: A) joining Guidehouse in the energy team or B) joining a T2 in the energy team or C) joining MBB as a generalist but network my way into energy work? Got a MBB offer as a lateral. End goal is FAANG. Friends at MBB say placements out of their firms into FAANG is as rare as anywhere else. Truth to that statement? Don’t think it’s worth the reset if it’s still nearly impossible either way…TIA

How is the hiring scenario of MBB at ISB? How many years of experience in a candidate are they willing to accept (assuming relevant pre mba role, for instance, say in ZS)?

Is Deloitte really more selective than Harvard? I think this is huge if true, they should be higher tier than MBB

Why are MBB so particular about B Schools? 😕 Inspite of having a referral from a partner in Bain and relevant experience, wasn't even given an interview opportunity. The only reason I can think of is my B School (just below IIM Indore and along the lines of NITIE, MDI, IIM Shillong) Could there be any other reasons?
