9+ months after a layoff, I’m still searching for the right role. I’ve rebuilt my resume, applied everywhere, emailed recruiters, and attended workshops, but the door still hasn’t opened. I bring 10+ years in technology, cybersecurity, IT risk, GRC, incident response, vulnerability management, and compliance. My biggest gap is local references after years of remote work and being newer to Syracuse. Open to local, hybrid, or remote roles. Any lead helps.

Currently working as an in-house SEO for a big ecommerce company (fortune 500). Currently earning 65K CAD. Contemplating a position for SEO manager on another company, SaaS B2B, very small office (<50people), pay around 80-100K. It's not a startup.

Did anyone made a move like this? From a big company (SEO team has 5+ people) to a very small company? I'm worried about job security and how stressful this new position would be, considering I'll be the only SEO professional there.

I've been in marketing for 7 years and it's been primarily paid social analytics and design at a local agency. I want to expand into the world of SEO, but I know its a complex new world for those without experience. Can anyone give me some pointers on where to start and how you got started learning about the basics of SEO? I want to set myself up with a solid base of knowledge from which to grow.

Thoughts on making the transition from paid to organic? I'm currently learning technical SEO on the side now and refining my blog writing skills for a friend but wanted opinions of others already in the field. Main reason of trying to transition is looking for slower pace of things
