A close friend recently moved to the US from West Africa (they're black, born and raised in Africa) and is looking for diverse public elementary schools for their kids. They feel like below 10% black students is too little, and are wondering whether more than 50% black might also be too much. As a black person, with all things being equal (eg school ratings, test scores), do you feel like a certain %age of black students in a school is too much? If so, what's that %age and why? If not, why not?

Will the difference in prestige of the schools really matter in the real world?

So I am a TA, filling 20-30 call center roles per month, on top of taking over some HR responsibilities until we fill our HR Manager roll..so I stay pretty busy, working 40-50 hours per week.

I was wondering...What do TA's do when they don't have any open positions to hire for? Does this happen? Is this a thing?

Am I tripping? Everyone loves calling my daughter (2 months) "lil chocolate drop" or "look at all that chocolate". I love my daughter's complexion, not only because it's mine, but because it's beautiful. However, I can't help but feeling like ppl "other" or make it weird by avoiding saying dark. Calling her dark is acceptable and appreciated. I know "chocolate" comes from a place of affection, but I just can't embrace it 💯.

Doctor says I have it, but I honestly don’t believe them. I don’t eat cane sugar (not even in sauces), gluten, dairy, or soy. So not surprised I couldn’t process their drink-I don’t consume stuff like that regularly. I walk a mile or do HIIT training 5x/ week.
