Good riddance. That's a company that doesn't train, doesn't support people. I would guess poor management and/or leadership. You dodged a bullet.
While many won’t say this directly, the ideal situation for any hiring manager is to find a candidate that can immediately produce. It might not always be possible, for several factors, but it is ideal.
What’s a plug and play?
Oh lol. No matter how smart or talented a candidate is, you should never make excuses about not providing them with support. That’s just a toxic culture.
Surely there’s more to it than simply saying “plug and play”?
Because employers don't want to hold up their end of the deal, like having a clear vision and strategy for their objectives, or a sensible accountability structure, or compensation on par with performance, or training on their bespoke proprietary processes and systems.
