A recruiter set up an initial screening interview with a partner. Had the call Monday. How long should I wait to follow up with the recruiter?

Just curious. Does Salesforce hire based on skill or ability to learn? I was interviewing with another company as a Salesforce BA and with Salesforce themselves. I got an offer from Salesforce. But the other company rejected me after final round because they wanted someone with more SF experience. I let both places know my skill level from the beginning and they both had same YOE required.

Is there a corporate way to bring up to senior leaders that an IC is causing issues across multiple teams because they are demanding and also doesn’t collaborate well? I am a field marketer. I travel and cover 12 states. HQ is across the US on the east coast. My manager put a surprise calendar invite twice now to go to home office without consulting dates to see if we were available. I stood up and asked to be included on available dates and said I will attend virtually but asking me to be away for 4 additional full days away from my family without asking me is not OK. My firm requires 200 hours bills per month, now they have been cracking down on us to bill 50 per week. I’m so exhausted. I absolutely hate this place. Insurance defense wouldn’t be so bad if it weren’t for these insane requirements. We also have to do update charts by weekly for every single one of our cases. All for a measly $85k while the firm makes thousands and thousands per week from each attorney. You only get a bonus for meeting the billable requirement, only to end up with about $2200.

What does life look like for someone to hit 2300+ billable hours?

I’m a first year attorney at a small plaintiff’s firm. My firm has guaranteed me a $10k bonus at the end of 1 year without regard for my billable hours. They’ve also stated if I hit 2300 billable hours in my first year, they’ll add an additional $15k.

If my math checks out, that means I need to be billing ~45 hrs per week. But with only like 60% of my assignments being billable—how do I hit 2300+ and not die?

Just conducted my first deposition and did not go as I had hoped. Was the 3rd named defendant so had to limit my time (around 2 hours) and the witness was so aloof (basically answered “I don’t know” to everything). I should have been firmer in my questioning and pushed even harder. Boss, who was watching, said don’t worry about it and it went exactlty how a first depo is supposed to go. But I’m still beating myself up and feel like I let him down...
