A recruiter submitted my materials to 5 different firms actively searching for associates in my practice area (which is quite a niche area) a month ago and I haven’t heard anything back yet. I’ve followed up with her and she tells me she hasn’t heard anything. At what point do I work with another recruiter? Should I let her know? This is my first time working with a recruiter and not sure how this goes

Work with multiple, just make sure they both aren't submitting you to the same firms.

like

It’s not uncommon to use multiple

The recruiter has heard *nothing* or the firms are not yet sure if they are moving forward?

If they've heard nothing, that's a bad sign and the recruiter likely has no actual relationship with the firms.

If the firms aren't sure, that just means their systems are slow. Partnership summer meetings, summer associates, other applicants, and non-urgent needs aren't the agency recruiter's fault.

FWIW, you can always use another recruiter, but not for the same positions.

like

If you know people at these firms just give the recruiter a heads up that you plan to hit up personal contacts. If they already submitted your resume you can't bypass them, but you can certainly help yourself if your contacts can put in a good word

If she’s 0/5 and you had to initiate the follow up, I’d say the right time to cut bait is now.

Do companies sometimes offer "gifts of appreciation" if you're not selected for a merit increase? My manager randomly called me to let me know I was chosen for the "gift" this year bc of my "hard work & dedication", except now I'm learning other colleagues are receiving actual merits.
I mean it's possible that I may receive a merit, but I feel like I won't considering my manager never brought it up & the dept update made it sound like those receiving it should know by now.

Reps, you have a client who you’ve had for less than a year. You’ve helped them secure a couple small jobs in that time span. They book a big job with an agency that isn’t a house account but certain producers and clients at that agency are noted as house accounts. The job came through a reco from one of those house account producers. Do you charge the full 25k commission, even though you didn’t really have a hand in the sale, and the client already had a strong relationship with the agency?

Hi Fishes
I want to share very bad experience I had at
Mastercard
I was given offer by Mastercard in month of Dec The hike was less but looking at brand & other perks I accepted the offer & was looking forward to joining them.I got few offers & I went back to them for sole purpose of renegotiating CTC, to have a industry standard hike. They didn't reverted back for 2-3 days & just dropped a mail that they are revoking initial offer as well on grounds that they didn't like i gave other interview
