A role I was rejected from a few months back is back on their website. I had a great connection with the manager during the first round, but they chose another candidate. I want to email them directly to see if they’d reconsider me. Should I mention the reposting and ask what happened with the previous hire, or just skip the "why" and pitch myself again?

I have an MBA from non-target school, about 5 years in management from financial services, business strategy and development and I’m looking for a great company with salary range around $150k or above. I have an offer accepted from Elevance 125k (Anthem) and w a good team and seems that WLB would be ok. Also, Amazon hiring manager wants to interview me for a job. Is just a hiring manager int. so obvi nothing guaranteed. Salary if offered will be more than 150k. My question is should I accept the interview and see where it goes? Is it really worth it to proceed with a company like Amazon for 25k+. I live in CA so $ is imp but I do have a toddler so WLB is also imp. Both role are Sr. MGR.

What’s the common process for when a client offering you a job at the end of the project? Do you still have to go through interviews and stuffs like a normal application or the client would just send you an offer?
The client asked me to join their team, we talked about the position (no specific comp yet), and they asked for my resume. Just want to know what the common process is like in this situation, TIA.
