Q: for FAANG recruiters, do candidates get a reject stamp after failing even at the later stages?
I advanced to the last stage at Facebook (Meta) around a year ago but failed on my last interview, a combination of not being familiar with the process and not having chemistry with the interviewer.
A friend who is a hiring manager recently recommended me and this time without even a HR call I received a straight up thanks but no thanks email.
Does this mean I’ve been permanently black listed?

Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.
What do you think?

Big 4 -> Accenture here and the culture at ACN is far far better. MDs don't take themselves anywhere near as seriously as Partners do. They're less attached to the "I am The Firm" mentality.
Seen ACN, Deloitte and EY. Worst work culture was ACN, Deloitte in that order !
Accenture can be cut throat and pay is not as per industry standard. They have grown too fast and culture is not as friendly (obviously there are better teams). I have worked for Accenture before and now work for the competition.

Bain is pretty chill and collaborative, culture-wise
I’d say as a public company, there’s a lot of benefits that you wouldn’t find in a partner-model firm. Public firms are more accountable and have really good policies in place for employees since there’s a lot more accountability. I find it’s more equitable to move up (more based on merit). Like any firm, it’ll depend on the individual practice how cut throat they are.

What are some examples of good policies at public firms?
Even in strategy (probably most competitive) it’s super collaborative. People genuinely want to help you and the absence of partnership fiefdoms are awesome.
People don’t really stab each other in the back and basically the only real politics are in the MD process where everyone is trying to get their person through and you have practices and CALs all trying to position their people (but doesn’t really play out in SMs infighting).
The only real competitive thing is sales credit but for the most part our roles in the system allow multiple people to get “credit” for a sale to incentivize collaboration.
All in all pretty relaxed, the people that are cutthroat get weeded out pretty easily as our bonuses aren’t very differentiated so not a ton of reward to stab someone in the back for an extra 3% at year end.
