Advice for whether I should attend a company holiday party or not? I work in a relatively small dept. that is having a formal holiday party. It’s been somewhat of a toxic in-office environment for me outside of my direct superiors, which is the only reason I’ve stayed. I can bring a +1 (my s/o), but I still feel somewhat awkward attending. For context, I’ve been excluded by my peers mainly due to hostility between teams and jealousy from moving up the ladder quickly here.

Planning a one-week summer vacation to Yellowstone Park area. Family unit of 6, so need to rent a single, large SUV. Just looked at prices and the cheapest car available for 6 people with unlimited mileage is $3,500+. Makes the vacation almost not worth it.
