Hi Fishes, I am bit confused to pick the role in KPMG lighthouse as Sr Cloud Data architect or Saama technology as a Project lead. Money wise it is not a big difference. In KPMG I will work with partner where as in saama I will work with project/program manager. Please suggest your opinion. Saama KPMG KPMG India

Get the 65/66. For the 7 you need to be sponsored

Agree with MS1. Getting the licenses makes you much more desirable.
First off, congrats for making this move. For the series 65, you don’t need to be sponsored so I would take that exam first while you are still getting a salary. Then buy the series 7 book and one week prior to being able to pass the exam is when you would ask to be sponsored.
As far as making the move to the independent side, if you have savings or investments; today is that “rainy day”. Savings isn’t just for a broken leg, this is an opportunity and that’s what savings is for.
Do not go to the bank channel. If you do you’ll never leave.
If you’d like to talk more I’d be happy to. I would also be happy to sponsor you if you need me to and I don’t mean to come work with me, just as a favor (you pay for the exam though).
Good luck.

That’s why I said take the 65 on your own and don’t share it with them. You are not obligated to. As for the 7, also why I said go elsewhere to be sponsored.
Bottom line is you need to make the change. Here’s why- are you going to retire as a recruiter? Doubtful. If so, then why delay. Working for a bank, you ever see a senior citizen as an advisor? Never. Don’t even attempt to start there.
Take the plunge, spend no money, eat lots of pasta, and work 12 hours a day. If you do that, and you’re with an honest person, you’ll definitely make six figures your first year and it only gets better from there.
I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised at what EJ offers advisors moving over. While there’s no guarantee you’d get a book right away, the base lasts a long time.
Base lasts 4 years. And no door knocking during COVID. Send me a message if you’d like to chat sometime. Happy to share the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Being that you are a recruiter and see how ridiculously high the turnover is for Advisors, are you sure you want to do this?!
Ha! For the right base & commission probably. I was previously but in a 100% commission capacity which I cannot do. I love the planning and helping people and all that.
Good morning. Are you in Need of compliance personnel?
What if you could recruit and be an advisor building your own brokerage? Would it interest you to know more?
