Hi all, recently in touch by Spotify recruiter for a Sec Engineer position for remote EU and was told that range was 60-80 out of base salary and equity. Had 2 years of security experience out of my 4 years. Was also told that there is no bonus scheme or no sign in bonus 😕 Not sure how I feel about this tbh.
What do you think?

This is hilarious
No one will care as much about your career and compensation as you. It makes zero sense not to ask - especially if you are willing to walk. The firm is always going to walk the line between paying their employees as little as possible and keeping them "satisfied". Wake up.
There is no way to negotiate a higher salary as a staff
You will likely be asked to leave if you brag about your competing offer
Staffs are a dime a dozen. Especially 3 rated ones. You have no value proposition, just put in the work for a few years and earn your raises/promotions
If by negotiate you mean fully prepare to leave the firm and allow them an opportunity to meet or beat, maybe. They'll probably let you go though
Everyone at EY got number ratings. But with a 3 you don't have much leverage for negotiations
Lol
@OP go for it. Of course you have a value proposition. Hiring and training new staff isn't cheap.
I'm a staff 1... We literally bring a year of experience to the table and if you've done AML you might as well not even count that. Curb your sense of entitlement.
Oh and one more thing before I rest my case. @OP only you know your worth. The clowns on this thread that are making you feel less than because you are a 3-rated staff have middle management written all over them. I challenge anyone to name a successful individual that was not called a failure or belittled on their path. 5 only matters if you want to become a PPED - if not, no one cares. Work hard, work smarter, be bold and for God's sake know your worth.
Yes, be prepared to walk. But don't rule it out.
Bye
@ Every sardonic person here, why is this funny?
So nobody thinks it's possible the firm isn't valuing thief staff enough? Wohoo there's your retention rate issue. Keep it up studs
EY10
@EY10 I feel like you still don't get it
That's what firms sing to their staff
Be ready to walk and no one in advisory got number ratings. Not that your number would mean anything to anyone.
If you don't understand why it's funny, you're apart of the problem
