I don’t know about cheap, it’s just how you value your wants/needs.

How much is of PITI is the principal?
Still curious - how much would the initial monthly principal portion of the payment be?
You could do rent vs own financial analysis.
Depends how much money you spend on other stuff. If you want to go lower than 375k you better live in the middle of nowhere lol
I make a lot less than that and had around the same budget, but it doesn't hurt to budget on the cautious side. The hard part will be finding a house you love for that price. Depends where you are but in a lot of places that's the hard part.

Not being cheap. Don’t be house poor.
Depends what region you live in and what kind of town you want to live in and what you value. Walkability? Commutability? Good schools? Safety? Strong community? Quiet? Lively? Easy access to a train or highways? Big house? Big lot size? Good down town? You might have to compromise on some of these things.
