Am I really limiting myself by moving into a PMO role? How easy is it to pivot to other roles such as corporate finance or product manager? My main experience in past has been BA/PM.

I work in the mortgage department assisting w mortgage changes , payments etc. I’ve been thinking about becoming a claims adjuster most likely for property damage . Is it worth it ??? I hear a lot of talk about how claims adjusting is a lot of work and very demanding but I think my current position has prepared me for the challenge. Looking at leaving audit, for a financial analyst and small Corp Dec roles for small corps.

A few of the roles ask for financial modelling, but I'm unsure if it is DCF (per my old finance classes) and need IB level type work or just quick and easy excel modelling for sensitivity/variances from different parameter changes.

Seems like a vague term.

Would love to get some insight on people who perform financial modelling in their work and had it in their position description.
