word on the street is Chase is working on "sapphire lounges". Just a rumor though
Rumor confirmed, they are opening one at Boston airport
I have both! No regrets and I honestly love that I have a variety of points / perks.
I like to travel so I transfer points around and travel hack, etc.
I also heard rumors of sapphire lounges.
Lol plus you get different benefits with both cards. Chase has done more for me with flights and Amex (besides the lounges) has been great for hotel upgrades. I feel like it’s best of both worlds tbh.
Amex plat + Marriott bonvoy card
The centurion lounges are great but really only if your client’s airport has one - doesn’t matter if your home airport has one. You show up at your home airport 15 mins before the flight boards and walk right onto the plane and go back to sleep…
I have both cards. CSR is better for point earning since a lot of my spend is travel/dining, and Amex shines for perks & offers. Both cards have priority pass lounges and I’ll be the first to admit that the centurion lounges are amazing, but I really only ever found myself in one when my flight was delayed (and even then, half the time I’d just go to a nearby bar and expense the tab).

Honestly, it’s not a big deal either way. Just take the one with the lower annual fee and call it good.
